Sixteen floors. Ten tenants, seven answering the door.
Most of the building is scaffolding, which is honest. Press a button.

The lift needs JavaScript, so here is the building directory instead. Sixteen floors, ten of them finished and seven of them open — which is roughly the honest state of things. A locked floor is built but not published yet, so it has no link to give you.

Ground floor

Click

Six retractable pens. Each one clicks differently. That is the whole website.

Floor 02

To let

The last tenant moved out. Something more fun is moving in.

Floor 03 · open

Discontinued

A corridor hung with interface conventions that died. Every one of them was obvious at the time. Scroll to walk it.

Floor 04 · open

Fifty-Four

A Rubik's cube whose six colours are six live media, and not one photograph. Scrambling mixes clocks with words; solving sorts all fifty-four back.

Floor 05 · open

Knock-Up Stream

The Chrome dinosaur stood on its end and pointed at Skypiea. Ride the stream up, dodge the Sea Kings. An unofficial One Piece fan game.

Floor 06 · open

Mouthful

A world map you eat your way across. Ten countries, thirty dishes, every one of them drawn rather than photographed. Drag it about.

Floor 07 · open

Devil Fruit

Drop a photograph in and it comes back flat, hard-outlined and cel-shaded. Runs entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded anywhere.

Floor 08 · open

Nothing on Eight

The floor that was empty, and the reason it was empty. Every pixel is a light ray traced through curved spacetime — the band over the top is the far side of the disk, folded into view.

Floor 09

Bricked up

Nobody in the building remembers who did this, or why.

Floor 10

Fog

Just fog. It has been like this since the building opened.

Floor 11

A cat

It was here before the lift was installed. It has never left.

Floor 12 · open

Junk Drawer

Graph paper, and a page that spills small blue objects wherever you drag. There is no reason for it. That is the reason for it.

Floor 14

Out of order

There is a bag of crisps caught on the spiral. It has been there since March.

Floor 15 · open · roof

After Hours

As far as the lift goes. London in the rain, flat and cold, from the roof of a building that is mostly scaffolding. Scroll sideways. Change the weather.
